The Department of Petrochemical Engineering organized a National Conference on “Petroleum Conservation and Environmental Sustainability -ZORTEC’18 ” on 27th March 2018. Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal Presided over the function and Dr. R. Perumal HOD/ Petrochemical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Mr. Manash Routray, DGM-Retail Sales, Coimbatore Divisional Office, IOCL and Mr.Mahesh Rajagopal, Board of Governer, NIT (Puducherry) was invited as chief guest. The function started at 9:30 am with prayer song followed by lighting the kuthuvilakku and delivered the lectures. Participants from various colleges presented their submitted papers in this conference. Then a technical quiz was conducted. The conference was arranged by the Petrochemical Engineering Association under the guidance ofProf. N.Krishnaswamy,Dean (Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering).
Fourth National Conference on “Recent Advances in Computing Sciences – RACS ’18” organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JCTCET
The Department of computer Science and Engineering is organized the fourth National Level Conference on “Recent Advances in Computing Sciences” (RACS ‘18) on 26th March 2018.On this day, Chief Guest, Thiru. Raymond Gerald Carroll, Requirement Manager – Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd, Coimbatore inaugurated and delivered inaugural address. He pointed out the importance of Automotive and employment opportunities in Automotive Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr.G.Rajiv Suresh Kumar, Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering welcomed the gathering and Dr.G.Ramesh , Principal of JCT College of Engineering and Technology delivered the presidential address. Thiru Raymond Gerald Carroll, Requirement Manager – Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Ltd, Coimbatore has released the proceeding of the Conference.
The Conference had two sessions spread over the day with expert’s key note addresses and interactive discussions. More than 30 participants from various Universities and Institutions across the country have been selected to register and presented papers in the Conference.The experts and the resource persons were invited who have sound knowledge in the field of Recent Technologies in Computing. Dr.V.J.Arulkarthick, Professor and Head of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mrs.K.Malarvizhi, Associate professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology were the judges for these sessions. In the First Session, 15 Papers were presented by the researchers and academicians to share and exchange ideas in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Information Security, Cloud Computing and another 15 papers were presented in the fields of Network Security, Green Computing in the second Session.
The Conference ended with the distribution of participant certificate by .G.Rajiv Suresh Kumar, Professor & Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Dr.V.J.Arulkarthick, Professor & Head of department of Electronics and Communication Engineering JCT College of Engineering and Technology, to the participants from Various universities and Institutions across the country.
National Conference on “Nutritional Security through Research & Development in Food – NUTRO’2018” organized by Department of Food Technology, JCTCET
The Department of Food Technology in association with Jfinagles2K18, organized National Conference on “Nutritional Security through Research & Development in Food – NUTRO’2018” on 23rd March 2018. The Dean (Food Technology), Prof. Krishnaswamy welcomed the gatherings. The Conference was inaugurated by Dr. N Gopalan, Scientist F and Joint Director Defence Food Research Laboratory, DRDO, Mysore along with Thiru. S. Mohankumar, Plant Manager, Senthil Papain and Food Products (P) Ltd, Coimbatore at 10.00 A.M. Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal, JCT College of Engg and Technology presided over the function.
Dr. N Gopalan, Scientist F, DFRL, DRDO, Mysore explained the need for food Security. The rise in population and conflict has raised the need for such food security. He explained the different ways of attaining food security and achievements made by the DFRL, DRDO, Mysore. He has insisted students to more research and to publish more journal papers. Thiru. S. Mohankumar, Plant Manager, Senthil Papain and Food Products (P) Ltd, Coimbatore then insisted the students to actively participate in the conferences and seminar and widen their knowledge in the field of Food Technology. He has also asked the students to dream of the task, that they need to accomplish. Good thought and profound thinking of the foreseeable future would make them to shine in their life.The Paper and poster presentations were completed and the non-technical Photography completion was held.The HOWZAT trophy winners were awarded with Trophy’s and prizes.The valedictory function was conducted at 3.00 P.M and the prizes and certificates were distributed to award winners. Mrs. S. Sujithra AP/FT delivered the vote of thanks and the conference, NUTRO’2018 ended with fruitful outcome on creating awareness among students and delegates on Food Security.
2nd National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Civil Engineering and Technology (RICET-18’)” organized by Department of Civil Engineering
The program was started with prayer song. Welcome address is delivered by Prof.A.KUMAR,Hod, department of civil engineering . Presidential address was given by Dr.G.RAMESH, principal, JCTCET. This conference was conducted for the civil engineering students under RICET-18 in association with IJSER .the chief guest was felicitated by Miss.S.NIRANJANI, Assistant professor .the chief guest Dr.MEENAMBAL, Dean Department of civil engineering gave Innovative speech. The speech was very much useful and effective for the participants for their carrier development. Chief guests shared more useful ideas to become researchers. Vote of thanks is given by student co-coordinator A.UMA. Finally Program was completed with grand success.

Totally we received 613 papers all over the world. We received the papers from the following countries, Coloumbia, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, Ethiopia, Iran, UAE, Taiwan, Japan, UK and USA. Out of this only 210 papers were accepted for presentation to maintain the quality of conference. All the papers have been reviewed by the subject experts from various reputed institutions and industry. In these 205 papers were registered for our conference including people from abroad.

Third National Level Conference based on Recent Trends in Information Communication and Electrical Technologies
This report is to brief the Third National Level Conference based on “Recent Trends in Information, Communication, and Electrical Technologies” conducted by the circuit departments of our college on the 2nd of April 2016. The inaugural function started with a prayer song sung by the CSE students. This was followed by the lighting of the Kuthuvilakku. The gatherings were welcomed by the Head of the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department, Prof. V. Lakshmipathi.
The Chief Guest of the function Thiru. D. Mohan Kumar, CEO, Skypro Technologies, waswelcomed with a bouquet during the welcome address.He was later honored with a memento and a shawl by the Principal, Dr. G. Ramesh. The proceeding for this conference was handed over to the other dignitaries by the Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Dr. G. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, which were released by the chief guest and the principal. The conference report was rendered by the Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Dr. G. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, which referred to the experience gained from the previous conferences, the number of papers received and the number of papers selected. The presidential address was given by Dr.G.Ramesh, Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology. He explained the necessity of Leadership, the importance of using the talent one possesses at the right time, and finally briefed the students with the significance of technology in today’s life. The chief guest profile was read by the CSI Student’s Branch chairman, Mr.Sudeesh Kannath of CSE IIIrd year.
The inaugural address of the function was given by Thiru, D. Mohan Kumar, CEO, Skypro Technologies, Bangalore. He had a very interactive session with the students regarding the latest trends and advancements in technologies. He mentioned the importance of IoT (Internet of Things) with real time examples. The vote of thanks for the inaugural function was given by Prof. Deeban Chakkarawarthi. G of the CSE department. The gathering were given refreshments and then directed to their respective presentation halls. The certificates for the students were provided in the evening and the event ended successfully.
Second National Conference on Recent Advances in Computing Sciences – RACS ’14
The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized a Second National Conference on Recent Advances in Computing Sciences (RACS’14) on 4th September 2014. Mr. Felix P.S, Senior Project Manager, CG-VAK Software & Export ltd., Coimbatore is a chief guest of this national conference. In the presidential address, Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal of our college addressed the gathering with the importance of national Conference as a knowledge hub to the participants. After the Presidential Address, Our Honorable Principal Dr. G. Ramesh, released the proceedings of the Second National Conference on RECENT ADVANCES IN COMPUTING SCIENCES and the first copy was received by the Chief Guest Mr. Felix P.S.
The speech given by principal made students to know that life begins in the way we think and consider things instead of being trapped in matrix of thinking, also it portrayed the need of out-of-box-thinking. Subsequently, the chief guest in his inaugural address enlighten the group with reason for the development on the area of computing science. With a good field factor in minds of the engineering, companies is going to be a lot more demand in days to come for engineering graduates. Also he enlighten the group with the current IT Trends that are growing and briefed about those as Window service, Web Application, Disturbed Application, Web Services The words of Mr. Felix gave so much of energy and motivated the students, faculties and the researchers to think innovatively.
The conference had four sessions spread over a day where the participants from various Universities and Institution across the country presented papers in the conference which provided a platform for researchers and academicians to share and exchange ideas on the various research topics in the fields such as Cloud Computing, Grid Computing, Green Computing, Mobile Computing, Data Mining, Information Security, Cryptography and Network Security, Computer Vision, Wireless Security, Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks, Robotics, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Sensor Networks and Human Computer Interaction.
The valediction commenced with the feedback from the participants, which was followed by the brief description of conference report by Prof. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, the head of the department(CSE). Then, Dr. Ramesh, the principal of the college awarded the participants with their certificates. Finally, the event was successfully completed with our national anthem.
National Conference on Emerging Scientific and Technologies in Electronics and Energy Management
Er.E.K.Gururajan Superintendent Engineer of METRO TANGEDCO-Comibatore While addressing Inaugural function of an one day national conference on “Emerging Scientific and Technologies in Electronics and Energy Management” at JCT College of Engineering and Technology pichanur, Coimbatore, stressed the need for newer Innovations in technology, Management and Distribution of Electrical Energy for consumers. He traced the energy shortage in the state during the past decade and expressed his optimism that from June -2013 onwards, there will not be much shortage. He categorically pointed out the power shortage has given new search for an energy from the generation of electricity from non conventional sources like wind energy, solar energy and Bio energy. If proper utilization of energy is done and unwanted power consumption is reduced, 20% of energy needed can be met with. All the buildings must have natural lighting and wind insulation for saving energy.
Earlier Dr. R. Saravanan Principal JCT CET traced the development of technology for human convenience. He advised the researchers and students to contribute for the development of innovative products with low cost and minimal energy consumption. Engineering college students from various parts of Tamil nadu presented papers on analog and digital signal processing, Wireless communication system, VLSI Design, Fuzzy logic & Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition, Optical & Satellite Communication. Totally 32 technical papers were presented during the conference.
