JCT College of Arts and Science celebrated Onam 2024 with unparalleled fervour on 12th September. Fostering a dynamic gathering of students, faculty, and staff for a day replete with excitement, tradition, and cultural expression. The festivities commenced with the creation of a resplendent Pookkolam, meticulously crafted by the students supported by the educators, setting a vibrant tone for the day.

Our Principal, Dr. S Anbarasu, rolled out the red carpet, setting the tone for an exhilarating day ahead.

The celebration featured a series of captivating events that showcased the students' exceptional talents and team spirit. The excitement kicked off with the classic Lemon Spoon Race, where our young talents demonstrated their agility, coordination, and lightning-fast reflexes. The thrill continued with the ever-popular Musical Chair, followed by the traditional Kuppiyil Vellam Nirakkal, which added to the festive fervour.

After the invigorating games, everyone indulged in a delectable Onam Sadhya, a traditional Kerala feast that delighted taste buds and brought the rich culinary heritage of Kerala to life.

Post-lunch, the festivities resumed with Sundarik Pottu Kuthal, a creative traditional art activity that showcased the pupils' innovative skills. This was followed by vibrant dance performances that set the stage for a joyous cultural experience. The high-energy Uriyadi game kept everyone in stitches, while the rhythmic beats of Shikarimelam filled the evening, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of celebration.

To wrap up the day, winners of the various events were rewarded with trophies, recognizing their enthusiasm, talent, and unwavering dedication. The Principal commended the young minds and faculties for their exceptional efforts in making the Onam celebration a resounding success.
