JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized Talent Hunt 2025 for first-year students on 7 November 2025. Around 800 students showcased their creativity and talent through photography, short films, singing and dancing, creating a vibrant platform for expression, teamwork and confidence.

Event Overview
Talent Hunt 2025, exclusively organized for first-year students, was successfully conducted at JCT College of Engineering and Technology on 07 November 2025.
The event commenced at 10:00 AM in the College Auditorium and provided an exciting platform for students to discover, express and showcase their talents beyond academics.
Inaugural Session
The program began on a traditional note with a prayer song, creating a positive atmosphere for the day's activities.
Dr. K. Mohana Pandian, Head of the Department of Science and Humanities, delivered the welcome address and warmly welcomed the students, faculty members and dignitaries gathered for the event.
Encouraging Young Talent
Dr. S. Manoharan, Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, presided over the function. He encouraged the first-year students to participate actively and make effective use of such opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence and showcase their abilities.

A remarkable participation of around 800 students transformed the auditorium into a vibrant celebration of creativity, enthusiasm and student talent.
A Celebration of Diverse Talents
Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of events designed to provide opportunities for both creative and performing talents. Each activity enabled participants to express their individuality and demonstrate their abilities before their peers.
- Photography – showcasing creativity through visual storytelling
- Short Film – encouraging storytelling, direction and creative expression
- Singing – providing a platform for students to demonstrate their musical talent
- Dancing – bringing energy, rhythm and performance to the stage
Discovering Hidden Talents
The students exhibited remarkable enthusiasm throughout the event and gave their best performances in their respective areas of interest. The wide variety of performances demonstrated the diverse talents present among the first-year student community.
From visual creativity in photography and filmmaking to expressive performances in music and dance, Talent Hunt 2025 provided students with an opportunity to bring their hidden abilities into the spotlight.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Talent Hunt 2025 emphasized the importance of holistic student development by providing first-year students with opportunities beyond their regular academic environment.
Participation in creative and cultural activities helped students strengthen important qualities such as confidence, communication, creativity, teamwork and stage presence.
Building Community & Team Spirit
As an event dedicated to first-year students, the Talent Hunt also created an opportunity for participants to interact with their peers, collaborate and develop a stronger sense of belonging within the institution. The shared experience strengthened teamwork and helped create a lively and welcoming campus environment.

Vote of Thanks
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. S. Kanchana Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Science and Humanities. She expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful organization and conduct of the program. The event formally concluded with the National Anthem.
