Seminar Overview
The Women Empowerment Cell, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Cell, and Higher Education and Career Guidance Cell of JCT College of Engineering and Technology jointly organized a one-day seminar on “Work Ethics & Global Opportunities” on 25 February 2026 at 11:00 AM in the JCT Seminar Hall.
The program focused on professional ethics, workplace responsibilities, women empowerment, higher education opportunities abroad and the skills required to successfully compete in the global employment market.
Objective of the Seminar
The seminar was designed to create awareness among students about the importance of ethical conduct, professional integrity, discipline, continuous learning and global career readiness.
It also aimed to provide final-year students with guidance on international higher education and career opportunities while creating awareness among support staff about workplace responsibilities and their contribution to the efficient functioning of an educational institution.
Welcome & Felicitation
Dr. S. Manoharan, Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, welcomed the gathering and felicitated the Chief Guest.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of ethical conduct, discipline and continuous skill development in achieving professional excellence. He encouraged students to develop the right combination of knowledge, skills and professional values required to succeed in today's competitive global environment.

Morning Session – Students
During the morning session, Mrs. Thenmozhi Rajaram delivered an insightful and inspiring session for final-year students. She explained the importance of developing strong workplace values and maintaining professional integrity throughout one's career.
She highlighted how workplace ethics, responsibility, discipline and professional conduct contribute to long-term career success. The session also emphasized the role of women empowerment in building a progressive and inclusive society.
Higher Education & Global Opportunities
The resource person provided students with valuable guidance on higher education opportunities available abroad and discussed how international education can contribute to academic, professional and personal development.
She also explained how students can prepare themselves for the international job market by continuously developing their technical knowledge, communication abilities, professional skills and adaptability to diverse working environments.

Afternoon Session – Support Staff
In the afternoon session, Mrs. Thenmozhi Rajaram addressed the housekeeping staff, security personnel and drivers of the institution.
She emphasized the importance of understanding individual workplace responsibilities and performing assigned duties with efficiency, discipline and commitment.
The session highlighted how every member of an institution contributes to its effective functioning. Support staff were encouraged to perform their responsibilities efficiently to ensure the smooth and safe daily operations of the college.

More than 200 students, including both boys and girls, along with 55 support staff members, benefited from the program. The seminar successfully addressed the professional development needs of both students and staff through dedicated sessions.
Program Coordination
The one-day seminar was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Vedha Vinodha, Dr. G. Gnanavel and Mrs. S. Roopa. Their coordination and support ensured the smooth conduct of both the student and staff sessions.
