Report on Industrial Visit to Ready Mix Concrete (Rmc) Plant

With an intention to expand students industrial knowledge, department of civil engineering takes the II^nd and III^rdyear students for an  industrial visit to the Kadeshwari Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant at Kodangipalayam, Coimbatore on 17^th July 2019. In the visit the students got a chance to get exposed to the manufacturing process of Ready mix concrete, the various heavy equipment and the technical procedures during the large scale production of RMC. The students also attended a talk on the use of ‘RMC’ over ‘site mixed concrete’ and a demonstration of slump test rendering the work-ability of both. The group of students and the accompanying faculty members explored the chance to learn the working of the RMC plant.
