On behalf of our JCT institutions, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of JCT Polytechnic College conducted a two day CHOICE BASED PROGRAMMES (Workshops, Symposium & Technical Events) for Polytechnic College and Engineering students on 09th & 10th February 2018.
On the first day, the programme began with Inauguration of ELECTRIXO 2018. Prof.A.Sakthivel, HOD/EEE welcomed the gathering. Mr.R.Guruprasanth,CEO, Kenspeckle Electronic Manufacturing and Services, Coimbatore, Ms.R.Shobana, Assistant Professsor/EEE, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore and Mr.P.Senthilkumar, Senior Technician, Balaji Rewinding Works and Services, Coimbatore were the resource persons for the choice based workshops. Prof. R.Manoharan, Principal presided over the function. Dr.K.Rameshwaran, Director, JCT Institutions was the chief guest and delivered guest address and felicitations. During his speech, he explained about the programme in a detailed manner and also insisted the students in participating in this kind of activities to develop their skills apart from their studies. The resource persons were honored in view of love and affection, memory with Memento by Dr.K.Rameshwaran, Director, Prof. R.Manoharan, Principal and Prof. A.Sakthivel, HOD/EEE. Mr.Dhanesh, Lect/EEE proposed the vote of thanks.
The schedule of first day was three workshops namely Applications of Power Electronics using MATLAB/SIMULINK, Home Applications Servicing and Real time applications using Arduino. All the workshops were conducted simultaneously and the students participated in the workshop of their choice.
A total of 112 students were participated in the workshops out of which 23 students from other Polytechnic Colleges and Engineering Colleges.
In the valedictory function, Mr.Abner leo,Lecurer(Sr.Grade)/EEE, Mr.Nagendran, HOD/Mech and Prof. A. Sakthivel, HOD/EEE were addressed the participants and distributed the certificates along with resource persons and workshop coordinators in the respective venues. Mr.K.Ashok kumar, Lecturer/EEE, Mr.S.Saravanan, Lecturer/EEE and Mr.P.Dinesh babu, Lecturer/EEE were the coordinators for the workshops.
In the second day, Paper presentation, Project presentation, Technical quiz and Technical events Symbolisation and Circuit debugging were organized. A total of 36 students were participated in the programme. Mr.Dhanesh, Lect/EEE and Ms.Ilakkia, Lect/EEE were the coordinators for the second day events. 13 papers were presented in the Paper presentation contest and 6 projects were presented in the Project presentation contest. 12 groups(each has 2 student participants) were participated in Technical quiz, Symbolisation and Circuit debugging events.
In the closing ceremony, winners of each event were honored with cash prizes and certificates. Also all the participants were appreciated with participant certificates. Finally the programme ended with vote of thanks by Mr.Dhanesh, Lect/EEE followed by National anthem.
