With an intention to expand students industrial knowledge, department of civil engineering takes the IInd and IIIrdyear students for an industrial visit to the Kadeshwari Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant at Kodangipalayam, Coimbatore on 17th July 2019. In the visit the students got a chance to get exposed to the manufacturing process of Ready mix concrete, the various heavy equipment and the technical procedures during the large scale production of RMC. The students also attended a talk on the use of ‘RMC’ over ‘site mixed concrete’ and a demonstration of slump test rendering the work-ability of both. The group of students and the accompanying faculty members explored the chance to learn the working of the RMC plant.
The Women Empowerment Cell conducted Special Lecture on the topic of “DISCOVERING THE WINGS” in JCT college of Engineering & Technology on 13.10.2017 by 2.30 p.m at our seminar hall. The function started with a prayer song by Ms. Omega Swamy & Ms.Ishwarya(I Petroleum Engineering ).
Ms.Aishwarya(I Petroleum Engineering ) welcomed the guest and lighting of kuthuvilaku was done by the chief guest. Our respected principal Dr.G.Ramesh presided over the function. In his presidential address, he shared the valuable point that never let your attitude lower, meet the challenges and come up on your weakness character. He narrated a innovative story. The motive of the story is that everyone should adapt their life style according to the situation.
The guest speaker Dr.R.MARY METILDA,B.E,MBA,M.Phil,Ph.D, PROFESSOR & HEAD Department of Management Studies,( EDC COORDINATOR), Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Vattamalaipalayam, NGGO Colony(po) Coimbatore., narrated the following points pertaining to Women Empowerment.
Build your character, self respect, self discipline Performance character – “Doing our best work” Moral character-“Honors the interests of others” Lifelong learner & critical thinker Socially & emotionally skilled person Advised the students not to spend more times on social Medias and should be careful about what you are doing. Finally she concluded that “Never give up and believe in yourself” by a video clip. The vote of thanks is delivered by Ms.Lavanya.B(I petro). The function ended with the National Anthem.
