The Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a Seminar entitled “IMPORTANCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND IT’s IMPORTANCE FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS” on 24.07.2025 for imparting fundamental knowledge of Artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Industries.Dr.G.Mahesh, Professor & Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the welcome address and Mr.R.Mahendran,AP/Mech invited the Chief Guest. The resource person explained the importance and significance of Artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Industries.

He also explained that AI has the potential to revolutionize the field of Mechanical Engineering, enabling engineers to design, optimize and operate complex systems more efficiently and effectively. Also AI continues to evolve, Mechanical Engineers must stay at the forefront of these developments to remain competitive and drive innovation. Totally, more than 75 students and faculty members attended the programme. Dr.M. Vijayakumar, ASP/Mech proposed the vote of thanks.
