Sports Facilities

Our college has basic infrastructure required for development of sports skills for students both indoor facilities and outdoor sports facilities to provide opportunity for the students to train themselves. The various teams comprising the students of our college have participated in Anna University Inter Collegiate Tournaments, Coimbatore Inter Collegiate Athletic Association Tournaments and Tamil Nadu Inter Engineering Sports Tournaments.

  • Seminar on “Energy Conservation”organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCTCET held on 13th February 2019

    Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a seminar on “ENERGY CONSERVATION” Thiru. K.Thangaraj & Jayansenthilkumar.Thi, external faculties of PCRA-SR (Petroleum Conservation Research Association – Southern Region) conducted the Institutional Training Program on 13-02-2019 at 2.30 pm to 4:00 pm in our college seminar hall for our Mechanical & Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students. Program was very informative and effective using lot of case studies, videos for participants on energy conservation. It was highly valuable and informative to our participants.

    The experts talk lasted for about 1 1/2 hours. Our principal invited the Guests and also gave vote of thanks. The experts and participants took pledge on conserving the resources and energy.

  • Seminar on “STARTUP BUSINESS 101” organized by Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JCTCET held on 14th February 2019

    The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Seminar on “Startup Business 101” for Computer Science and Engineering Students, on 14th February 2019 at 10:00 A.M. The resource persons were Mr.Naveen Krishnamurthy, Chief Technology Officer, Ladder Minds Technology, Coimbatore and Mr.Gokulnath GP, Head Research, WeThe5Pilots, Coimbatore.

    The program started with the prayer song. The welcome address was given by Dr.K.Geetha, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Principal, Dr.G.Ramesh felicitated Mr.Gokulnath G.P with a bouquet and Dr.G.Rajiv Suresh Kumar, HOD of Computer Science and Engineering felicitated Mr.Naveen Krishnamurthy with a memento. The profile of Mr.Naveen Krishnamurthy was read by Mr.Sam Wesley and Mr.Arnave.B.Pradeep read the profile of Mr.Gokulnath GP.

    Mr.Naveen Krishnamurthy first gave an introduction about the “What is startup” which made everyone clear about the startup business. He explained the difference between the traditional business and startup business. He explained safe and secure investment in this field. He went through each step of a startup plan with certain examples. He explained about the different pillars in the startup “Purpose, Client, Competition, Identity, Business, Snapshot, and Solution”. He mentioned the MVP in the startups.

    Then Mr.Gokulnath G.P shared his experience as a startup entrepreneur. He also explained us about the challenges that one would face from the society and in his/her job as being an entrepreneur the atmosphere of the seminar was quite free. We learned a lot from the seminar and were satisfied with the answers from the speaker.

    Mr.K.Sivakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering concluded with a vote of thanks.

  • Entrepreneurial Motivation Programme organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell of JCTCET on 13th February 2019

    The half day Entrepreneurial Motivation Programme, only for fourth year students of all branches, was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, on 13th February 2019, Forenoon.

    The program started at 9.30 a.m. with the prayer song. Then the first session started in which the coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Mr.D.Joslin Vijaya, gave a speech on what is Entrepreneurship and how to become an Entrepreneur.  Then there was a tea break and after that there was group activities for preparing advertisements for different products. The students did that with full enthusiasm. Then the program came to an end at 12.30 a.m.

  • Guest Lecture on “Evolving Trends in Process Technology and The Role of Process Engineering” organized by the Department of Petrochemical Engineering, JCTCET on 21st February 2019

    Guest Lecture on “Evolving Trends in Process Technology and The Role of Process Engineering” was arranged by the Department of Petrochemical Engineering on 21.02.2019 at 2.00pm in the JCT Seminar hall. Mr.M.Akbar Ali, Managing Director, Skilltech Process Engineering Consultant, hasdelivered the lecture about the importance of evolving trends in process technology.

    Students of Petrochemical Engineering Department attended and interacted. Earlier, Dr.R.Perumal, Head of the department introduced the chief guest. The guest lecture was arranged by the Petrochemical Engineering Association.
