Sports Facilities

Our college has basic infrastructure required for development of sports skills for students both indoor facilities and outdoor sports facilities to provide opportunity for the students to train themselves. The various teams comprising the students of our college have participated in Anna University Inter Collegiate Tournaments, Coimbatore Inter Collegiate Athletic Association Tournaments and Tamil Nadu Inter Engineering Sports Tournaments.

  • 9th Annual Day and Sport Day Celebrations – JCT College of Engineering and Technology.

    JCT College of Engineering and Technology is celebrated it’s Annual Day on Friday, 6th April 2018. It was presided by the Guest of Honor Mr.Rajmohan Sathyadev, Founder & Director of Summits Hygronics Private Limited and Nova Gas Techniques Private Limited.

    Amidst great zest and vibrance the programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the honorable chief guest Mr.Rajmohan Sathyadev, In the chief Guest address, he has spoken a plenty of ideas about his own experience for the engineering graduates to become successful in their career. And also he captivated the minds of students to delve into wider world of learning and serving. Shri.S.A.Subramanian presented the presidential address. Ms. UMA (IV Year – Civil) formally welcomed the chief guest of the day. The college annual report was read by the Principal Dr.G.Ramesh and sports report was read by Mr. Mukesh, this was followed by the prize distribution.

  • Tamil Nadu Carrom Tournament Valedictory Function

    Location: JCT College Premises

    Tamil Nadu Carrom Association, Coimbatore district Carrom association and JCT College of Engineering And Technology jointly organized the Tamil Nadu Carrom ranking tournament 2012. The Carrom carnival was an amalgamation of hard work, commitment and enthusiasm. After a grueling competition, all the participants gathered in the Seminar Hall for the Valedictory function at 3p.m, to honour the heroics of all participants.

    Thiru. S. Yuvaraj, President – CDCA, presided over the function and gave an inspiring address to the gathering. In his presidential address expressed his happiness for conducting this event and it gives a experience of meditation.

    Thiru. G. Vijay Raj, General Secretary TNCA, was the guest of the evening. He highlighted the significance of participation in such events, regardless of the fact whether one loses or wins in such competitions. He also the stressed the various benefits by the Tamil Nadu Government.

    Thriu. O.M. Manivelu – Trustee, JCTCET, Principal Dr. R. Saravanan JCTCET, Thiru. J. Pyar John, Joint Secretary West Zone, TNCA, Thriu. T. J . Rajkumar, Secretary- CDCA, Thiru. M. Dhandapani, Treasurer- CDCA & Thiru. T. J. Thangakumar Assistant Secretary – CDCA are participated in this event.

    The Three day long Carrom carnival saw 186 participations from different parts of Tamil Nadu with all exuberance, thrill and gaiety. The Tournament was held for two categories:

    • Men’s Doubles & Men’s Single
    • Women Single

    Mr.B.Radhakrishnan – Chennai clinches the Men’s Single title. Mrs. Ilavazhaki – Chennai clinches the Women’s Single title.

    The Winner and runner up were awarded trophies, cash awards and certificates.

    Attractive sports prize cup besides certificates were awarded to other ranking participants by JCT college of Engineering and Technology.

    The day long sporting tournament ended with Mr .K. Rajan, organizing secretary of JCT College of Engineering And Technology, proposed the vote of thanks.

  • Anna University Zone 10 Chess Tournament

    The Anna University Zone 10 chess tournament was inaugurated by Mr.G.L.Krishnamoorty vice president, Brandsol on 05/08/2013 at 11.00 am. Thiru.O.M.Manivelu, Trustee, Dr.R.Saravanan, Principal other college directors of physical education and officials from Coimbatore district chess association graced the tournament. Dr.R.Saravanan welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest delivered valuable information to the participants.

    This tournament was organized and conducted based on Swiss method. In this tournament, students from 16 Engineering Colleges participated. Each college team consisted of 8 players. Totally 108 Student participated. This tournament was conducted on 05/08/2013 and 06/08/2013 in seminar hall-II at our College Campus. The tournament result

    • Dr.Mahalingam College Engineering and Technology won the 1st place
    • Sri Krishna College of Technology won the second place
    • Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology won the third place

    On 06/08/2013, 04.45pm, the valedictory function took place. In this function Professor A.Kumar welcomed the gathering. Our beloved chairman Thiru. S.A.Subramanian honored the gathering and distributed the prizes to the winners. Our trustee Thiru.O.M.Manivelu, Dr.R.Saravanan, Principal, Dr.K.Sundar DPE/JCT, Other Colleges Directors of Physical Education and officials from Coimbatore district chess association were presented.

    Finally the winning team captain gave the vote of thanks.

  • Anna University Table Tennis Tournament for Men

    Location: JCT College Premises

    JCT College of Engineering and Technology and Anna University Coimbatore joined organized Table Tennis Tournament for men (Anna University Zone 10) in college premises. More than 50 players from 10 different engineering colleges which is affiliated to Anna University Coimbatore are participated.

    In the Final Sri Krishna College Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore has won the match with 3-0 points against Karpagam Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

    The Tournament was inaugurated by Thiru. O.M. Manivelu, Treasurer JCT CET and Principal Dr. R. Saravanan, JCT CET presided over the Tournament. Also Principal stressed the importance of sports during the prizes distribution.

  • 4th Annual Sports Day Celebration

    Location: JCT College Premises

    JCT College of Engineering and Technology’s 4th Annual Sports Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 09.04.2013 Tuesday at the playground of the college. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Thiru S.A Subramanian, Chairman JCTCET, Dr.R. Sampath Director of Physical Education, CIT, Coimbatore as the Chief Guest; Trustee Thiru. O.M Manivelu, Dr.R.Saravanan, Principal, Dr. M. Thiruchitrambalam, Dean, JCTCET graced the occasion.

    As a mark to begin the commencement of Annual Sports day, our college chairman hoisted the national flag and viewed the excellent march past displayed by students of both the gender. The Chairman lit the flame in the cauldron and handed it over to the champion of the college. Then the champions took the Olympic Oath. Thiru.S.A Subramanian, chairman declared the Sports Meet open which was followed by the track and field events. DR. R. Saravanan, principal welcomed the gathering. He appreciated the achievements of the students and encouraged them to involve in the sport activities actively. Mr C.Mukesh Kumar, physical Director, presented the sports annual report for the academic year 2012-2013.

    On the occasion Thiru S. A Subramanian in his presidential address said that he was impressed by the students Endeavour to present a spectacular items, congratulated and encouraged the students for their participation. He said that specific time must be fixed for sport activities so that mind would be relaxed and students can better in all forms. Dr.R.Sampath, Chief Guest emphasized to take a Balanced Diet which would activate the dormant mind and the body. He laid focus on the importance of Sports Science. Engineering Students should posses good education with good fitness. He pointed out that India should enhance in sports by framing a curriculum (sports) to compete with greatness, intellectual and capability of other nations.

    The prize distribution ceremony was held and the students were awarded with trophies, medals and merit certificates for their achievements in the field of sports and games held in the academic year 2012-2013 and the overall championship goes to Civil Department.

    Physical Director Mr. Mukesh, JCTCET, arranged the sports events in an exceptional way. Finally the sports day celebration came to the end with a vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Kumar, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering.
