The Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a Guest Lecture entitled “DESIGN OF MACHINE ELEMENTS” on 31.07.2025 for imparting fundamental knowledge of Design attributes in Mechanical Industries.Dr.G.Mahesh,Professor & Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the welcome address and Mr.R.Mahendran,AP/Mech invited the Chief Guest.

The resource person explained by understanding the importance and significance of designing machine elements, engineers can create innovative, efficient and reliable machines that meet the needs of industries and societies He also explained that the Design of Machine Elements drives technological advancements, enabling the development of new materials, manufacturing processes and innovative products, A well-designed machine element ensures consistent product quality, reducing defects and improving customer satisfaction as well. Also efficient Design of Machine Elements can lead to reduced energy consumption, lower emissions and minimized environmental impact. Totally, more than 75 students and faculty members attended the programme. Dr.M. Vijayakumar, ASP/Mech proposed the vote of thanks.
