The Department of Civil Engineering at JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized a seminar on “Global Career Opportunities for Civil Engineers” on 26th August 2025 at the JCT Seminar Hall. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness among students about the international scope and diverse career paths available in the field of civil engineering.

The program commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. V. Murugesh, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, who emphasized the importance of equipping students with global exposure and skills to meet industry demands. The Introduction of the Chief Guest was presented by Prof. Reshma P. D., who detailed his professional journey and contributions to the field of skill development and training.

The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. R. Santhosh Kumar, Co-founder of MySkills Academy, Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring session highlighting the growing need for civil engineers across the world. He discussed emerging trends, skill requirements, international certifications, and career readiness strategies for students aspiring to work abroad.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. D. Arulganapathy, who expressed gratitude to the management, the chief guest, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support. Overall, the seminar was highly informative and beneficial.
