The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a seminar titled "Challenges and Opportunities in Scaling Renewable Energy for Electric vehicles" on October 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Ms. Devika M, Assistant Professor in EEE, delivered the welcome address, acknowledging the Head of the Department, the resource person Dr. D. Magdalin Mary, Assistant Professor at Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore, as well as all faculty and students present.

The seminar aimed to provide an overview of Renewable Energy, exploring their foundational concepts, applications, and future directions. Dr. D. Magdalin Mary shared her expertise and valuable knowledge about Renewable Energy and Electric vehicles. Main topics discussed: Fundamentals of Renewable Energy and its types, need of alternate energy sources, basic concepts of Electric vehicles, Charging stations for Electric vehicles, benefits of Electric Vehicles, applications of Renewable Energies for Electric Vehicles.

Dr. Balraj B, HOD / EEE delivered the vote of thanks, expressing his heartfelt appreciation to the speaker for sharing her insights, as well as to the principal and all the students for their active participation.
