The Department of Civil Engineering conducted a Guest Lecture on the eve of March 07, 2024, at 03:00 p.m. The guest lecture commenced with a welcoming address by Dr. V. Murugesh, Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of the future prospects of civil engineering in the context of rapid technological advancements. Assistant Professor Hari G S delivered the Introduction about the Chief Guest and Assistant Professor R Jagadeswari delivered the importance of the guest lecture. Our Chief Guest, Dr. R. RAJKUMAR, Associate Professor, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, a renowned expert in Urban Sprawl Pattern Analysis, delivered a keynote presentation focusing on the GIS application in Civil Engineering that is likely to transform the industry. The session is about various skill requirements for our Young Civil engineers and for the current job openings in India. He also explained the importance of higher education and the role of Civil Engineers in society. The Guest Lecture concluded with a vote of thanks by Assistant Professor D Arulganapathy.
