The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Expert Talk Series on “
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Power Systems” on 13.08.2024 at 06.00 PM through virtual platform. Dr. B. Balraj (HOD/EEE), delivered welcome address.
Dr. V. Royna Daisy, Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, Mettur, Salem, delivered lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Power Systems.AI and ML enhance power systems by improving operational efficiency, reliability, and flexibility. They enable better predictive maintenance, optimized grid management, and more effective integration of renewable energy sources. As technology continues to advance, the role of AI and ML in power systems is likely to grow, leading to smarter, more resilient energy infrastructure.
Power system algorithms are integral to the design, operation, and optimization of electrical grids. They help in analyzing system performance, ensuring reliability, minimizing costs, and integrating renewable energy sources. As power systems become more complex, advanced algorithms and computational techniques will continue to play a crucial role in maintaining efficient and reliable energy systems.
Mr. R. Satheesh delivered vote of thanks. He thanked our chief guest, Principal, HoD and students for attending the webinar and our faculty members for their extended support for organizing this event successfully.
