The Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a Seminar entitled “BASICS OF IPR AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR INNOVATORS AND ENTERPRENURS” on 15.11.2024 for imparting fundamental knowledge on Smart Manufacturing used in Industries. Mr.M.Prabhu, IIC Coordinator, AP/Mech delivered the welcome address and Mr.R.Mahendran, AP/Mech invited the Chief Guest. The resource person explained about the importance and significance of Patent filing and its procedures.

The seminar effectively conveyed the importance of IPR for innovators and entrepreneurs, equipping them with essential knowledge to protect their creative works and drive business success. He also shared his knowledge of demonstration of patent filing. Totally, more than 60 students and 6 faculty members attended the programme. Mr.P.Siva, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering has proposed the vote of thanks.
