On August 14, 2025, the Department of Petrochemical Engineering organized an orientation program on “Career Guidance in Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering” at the JCTCET seminar hall. Students from both the Petrochemical and Petroleum Engineering departments participated in the event. The event began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address from Mr. Maheshwaran M, a third-year Petrochemical Engineering student. Mr. Sakthivel E, also a third-year student, introduced the chief guests. The main lecture was delivered by Mrs. Kaaviya P S (CEO, ICDD) and Mrs. Dhanabagyavathi S (Managing Director, ICDD).

They provided valuable insights on career opportunities in the petroleum and petrochemical sectors. They also highlighted courses at their institute that offer students the chance to learn chemical engineering software and secure placements. The lecture was highly beneficial, helping students understand the career paths and skills needed for their fields. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Premjith R, a third-year Petrochemical Engineering student, and the National Anthem. The event successfully provided students with a clearer vision for their professional futures.
