The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, JCT College of Engineering and Technology in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute Government of Tamil Nadu organized the Phase-I: Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaign on 31st January 2015. Mr. J. Stalin Jacob, Head-Academics, Native Lead Foundation is the Chief Guest of this Programme. The programme commenced with the welcome address given by Prof. V. Pradeep, coordinator of EDC. In the presidential address, Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal of our college addressed the gathering with the importance of programme and illustrated us the role of Entrepreneurship in our economy. He included that the Entrepreneurship is a concept of five vital building blocks. The Chief Guest in his inaugural address enlightened the gathering with reason for the interest towards the field of entrepreneur ship by giving reliable real time examples. He made to realize that entrepreneurship is a key driver of our economy. His speech made awareness among the youth to be a beginner in an entrepreneurial economy. He presented a brief explanation about the interest that will enable them to develop the insight needed to discover and create entrepreneurial opportunities. Key aspects for being entrepreneurial are willingness and risk taking. The words of Mr. J. Stalin Jacob made the students to encourage and motivate them to create an innovation that too, more with spirituality. His short speech ended with a blow of a tremendous energy to the students. He concluded by sharing his life’s accomplishments which conveyed a striking message. Mr. Joslin Vijaya, Coordinator, EDC stressed the importance of decision making, spirit and vision in Entrepreneurship. Finally, Ms. Manjupriya from III rd Year CSE Department had lent the vote of gratitude. The event was successfully completed with our National Anthem.
