The department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted a Expert Talk Series on "IOT- Edge Computing Connectivity for Industrial Application” on 17-08-2024, Saturday 11.00 AM to 12 PM for CSE III year and IV year students . For this expert talk series, 55 students participated in this session.

On the day, the talk has started at 11.00 AM with a formal address by Dr.S.Zulaikha Beevi, Head of the Department. Further, she encouraged the students to actively participate in the session and to gain knowledge.

There were topics on history of IoT and its working, Advantages and Challenges in IoT, Architecture and Applications of IoT, Integrations of IoT with Edge Computing and finally he discussed about the handling of IoT tools.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs S.SANDHYA, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The session was coordinated by Dr. Sakthi Vinayagam (ASP/CSE).

Outcome of the Session

1. Students learned about the IoT device connectivity.

2. Students gained knowledge about the Edge Computing.

3. Students gained knowledge to integrate the two domain which will be suitable for industry applications.

4. Students understand the industry need to develop applications.

5. Gained the knowledge to handle IoT tools.
