The one day Faculty Development Program on Fluid Mechanics and Machinery was organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, on 29th June 2018.

The program started at 10.00 a.m. with the welcome address by Dr.S.Goshteeswaran, the Head of the department of Mechanical Engineering. Then the first session was handled by Mr.A.Kumar, Head of the department of Department of Civil Engineering, in which he gave the presentation about the Dimensional analysis, the III unit of the Anna University, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, 2017 regulation syllabus. Then Mr.Vijaya Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, gave the presentation on the IV unit, Centrifugal pumps and Reciprocating pumps and their velocity diagrams. Then Mr.D.Joslin Vijaya, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, gave the presentation on the V unit, Turbines and their velocity diagrams. After that the lunch was served for all the participants.

The afternoon session was handled by Dr.A.Gopalan, Head of the department of Civil engineering, Karpagam college of engineering, Coimbatore, in which he handled the first two units, Fluid properties and Flow characteristics, and the Flow through pipes, viscous flow. Then the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.D.Joslin Vijaya and the program came to an end.
