The Faculty Development Program (FDP) on VLSI Design & Methodologies was conducted from 19th to 23rd January 2026 under the prestigious E & ICT Academy – Phase II initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. The program was hosted by JCT College of Engineering and Technology, aiming to enhance faculty competence in advanced semiconductor technologies, design automation tools, and industry-oriented teaching methodologies. The FDP brought together academicians and researchers to strengthen pedagogical practices and research capabilities in the rapidly evolving VLSI domain.

The inaugural session formally commenced with welcome addresses, tamil thaivazhthu, lighting the lamp, and introductory remarks highlighting the significance of the E & ICT Academy initiative in strengthening technical education across India. The resource persons emphasized the growing importance of VLSI engineering in electronics, automotive systems, artificial intelligence hardware, and communication technologies. The program was coordinated by Dr.Karthikumar.S - Director IQAC/HOD ECE of JCT College of Engineering and Technology.
