GUEST LECTURE ON “BIG DATA AND ITS ISSUES” ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF CSE, JCTCET ON 6TH MARCH 2018

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized the seminar about BIG DATA AND ITS ISSUES on 6th march 2018 at 9:30AM. The resource person for this program was Mr.P.Shalinie, Technical associate, Elysium Academy pvt.ltd, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The program started with the prayer song. The welcome address was given by Dr. G. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The chief guest first gave an introduction about the “BIGDATA AND ITS ISSUES” which gave everyone a clear view about BIG DATA. She then illustrated the 3v concept and about business intelligence which helped the students to understand.

She gave a detailed explanation about the big data with business intelligence concept. The big data helps the business intelligence to work. Business predictions are made easy with the predictive analysis. HADOOP which got its name from a yellow stuffed elephant. The execution through map phase and reduce phase was explained.

Finally, Mr.K.Sivakumar, associate professor gave a vote of thanks and concluded the session.
