GUEST LECTURE ON “LATEST TRENDS IN PETROLEUM GEOLOGY AND FIELD DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGY” ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERING, JCT CET ON 08TH MARCH 2018

Guest Lecture by Mr.Raja, Executive Director, ONGC (retired) on 8.3.2018. The Program started at 10.00 a.m. with welcome speech by Head of the Department, Dr.Venkatesh Babu, Department of Petroleum Engineering. He briefed about the importance of Geology and overall importance of Petroleum Geology. Followed by professor. G.Balachandran, briefed about the chief Guest and his overall experiences as Geologists with ONGC.

After this chief guest narrated a General speech on Field development and Importance of Petroleum Geology, then shawl has been given to him by Coordinator. First session started from 10.30 a.m to 12.45 p.m..and Second session ended from 1.45 to 4.15

Mr.Raja explained with field case studies on Sedimentology,Basin studies and Seismic studies. Afternoon session also included with interactive session with him, on various technical topics and Job opportunities in the areas of Petroleum geology and Geosciences. Mr.Raja concluded his lecture with interactive session of final, third and second year of Petroleum engineering students.
