The association of Electronics and communication engineering department (‘eLIBERO’) of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, pichanur was inaugurated for the academic year 2014-2015 on 22.08.14.

The Chief guest was Dr. Periya Gopalan, Product Line Manager, Applied Materials, U.S.A. Respected Principal, Dr. G. Ramesh presided over the function.

After invocation, the function started with a welcome address given by Prof.V.Lakshmipathi, Head of Department of Electronics and communication Engineering.

In his presidential address, Dr. G. Ramesh narrated how an elephant is being controlled by tying rope among it’s legs. He resembled the elephant to a student not realizing his power. He advised the students to awake and work hard to achieve his goals.

Upon completion of the presidential address, Mr. D. Sivakumar, Asst. Professor of E.C.E. Department introduced the office bearers of eLIBERO for the academic year 2014 – 2015. After the introduction of new office bearers, Mr. Narendhiran N., Secretary of eLIBERO delivered the scheduled association activities.

Chief guest Dr. Periya Gopalan, presented the process involved in the semiconductor industry to encourage the students and make them realize the interrelation between academics and industry. The session went interactive with complementary gifts being provided for questionnaires. The presentation involved video coverage of various processes in chip manufacturing and shared experience of Applied materials employees.

The function ended with a vote of thanks given by Mrs. Vedha Vinodha D., Asst. Professor in E.C.E. Department.
