The Association of Automobile Engineering (‘Crankwakers’) of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Pichanur was inaugurated for the academic year 2014-2015 on 17th Sep, 2014.The special guest was Er.P.Mani, Regional Transport Officer(RTO),Coimbatore(West ) and the chief guest was Er.V.Selvaraj, Principal, Karivaradhan Vocational Training Institute, Unit of Kuppusamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education & Medical Relief, Coimbatore.

The function commenced with the welcome speech by Helvis.P.Clectus, President, Crankwakers. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Pichanur. He insisted about the application of knowledge according to the environment in the outer world.

The Inaugural Address was delivered by Er.P.Mani, Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Coimbatore West. In his speech, he discussed on the development of technology and job opportunities for the students in future. Mr.P.Pitchandi, Professor, Head of Department introduced the office bearers of Crankwakers for the academic year 2014 – 2015. After the introduction of new office bearers, Mr. Mavin Kumar.M., Secretary of Crankwakers delivered the scheduled association activities.

The Keynote address was given by the Chief guest Er.V.Selvaraj, Principal, Karivaradhan Vocational Training Institute, Unit of Kuppusamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education & Medical Relief, Coimbatore. He discussed on ‘Transmission Systems in Automobile’. He insisted the significance of the transmission of the engine power to the wheel.

The function ended with the Vote of Thanks rendered by Mr.MahendranV, Treasurer, Crankwakers.
