This year brought together the alumni of the institute for the first time to JCT college of Engineering and technology in the form of 1st Alumni meet held on October 9 2016

The Inaugural Programme of the Alumni meet commenced at 11.00 A.M. in the seminar hall. The Grandeur Alumni meet started traditionally with the Prayer song. After that Prof.V.Lakshmipathi, HOD of ECE Department delivered Inaugural address. He welcomed all the Alumni. Then Kuthuvilaku was lighted by the dignitaries. The occasion was graced by 120 Alumni. Next Memento was given to our honorable principal by Mr.V.Murugesh, Assistant Professor of Civil department and Mr.G.Magesh, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Department.

Mr.K.Santhosh, Assistant Professor of Automobile Department and Mr.V.Pradeep, Assistant Professor of EEE Department handed the JCT Alumni logo which was launched by our beloved principal Dr.G.Ramesh and Prof.P.Pitchandi, HOD of Mechanical Department. After that Presidential speech was given by our Principal Dr.G.Ramesh in which he praised the success of JCT Alumni meet and their Contribution towards the growth of their JCT and emphasized the need for further strengthening the linkage between Alumni and our college and current students.

The Inaugural session was also attended by all HODs, faculty and staff members of JCTCET. Prof.Pitchandi, HOD of Mechanical Department highlighted the achievement of JCTCET   and called for greater Alumni participation. Dr.G.RajivSureshKumar, HOD of CSE Department delivered about link between the current JCT students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement, career counseling and any other help. After the speeches, the various department HODs, A.O and P.R.O addressed the gathering with warm welcome to JCT family members. They thanked the alumni for coming from all long way for their participation. They thanked the organizer for giving the opportunity

Ms.R.Tharani, Assistant professor of CSE Department and Ms.K.Akilasree, Assistant professor of ECE department handed JCT Alumni Magazine to all the dignitaries from various branches. Prof.P.Pitchandi, HOD of Mechanical department, introduced office bearers. After that each Office Bearer introduced themselves to the gathering. Few of the Alumni shared their experience as well as interesting moments of campus life. After that, they introduced short film about our college growth.

The Inaugural session was followed by musical Programme by  Prof.D.Joslinvijaya, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Department and our students. Finally, Small memento was given by our Principal Dr.G.Ramesh to JCT alumni members. Then function ended with vote of thanks given by  Prof.A.Kumar, HOD of Civil Department and the National Anthem.
