The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a hands-on Training titled “Mastering Arduino Simulation with Tinkercad” on October 17, 2024.at 11.00am.
Mrs.Shanthi M, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, delivered the welcome address, acknowledging the Principal, Head of the Department, the resource person Dr. M.Kavitha, Associate Professor, department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai and all faculty and students present. The event aimed at the development of as well as all faculty and students present.
The hands-on training session on mastering Arduino simulation with Tinkercad was a remarkable learning experience for all participants. An experienced resource person, the workshop focused on essential components such as LEDs, LCDs, and Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs). Throughout the session, the instructor provided a detailed explanation of each component, highlighting their functionalities and applications in real-world projects.
Students engaged in practical experiments, including a street lighting simulation, where they learned how to program the Arduino to control lights based on ambient light levels detected by the LDR. This project not only illustrated the principles of automation but also demonstrated how to integrate multiple components effectively.
Students were encouraged to actively participate, allowing them to troubleshoot and refine their projects in real time. They gained hands-on experience in wiring circuits, writing code, and understanding the importance of each component in the overall system. By the end of the hands on Training , participants had developed a solid foundation in Arduino programming and simulation, equipping them with valuable skills for future projects in electronics and automation.
Ms.Prajitha P, Final year EEE in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing her heartfelt appreciation to Dr. M. Kavitha for sharing her insights, as well as to the Principal, the Head of the Department and all the students for their active participation. She also acknowledged the support of faculty members in successfully organizing the event.
