The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology (JCTCET), Coimbatore, in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) – Student Chapter, successfully organized a one-day technical workshop titled “Modern ASIC Design” on Wednesday, 28 January 2026. The technical session was delivered by: Mr. ManikandanAssistantProfessor, Electronics and Communication Engineering,JCTCET, Coimbatore.

ECE department faculties and Students actively participated and raised queries regarding tool chains, internships, and future prospects in chip design. Particularly II and III year ECE students attended the workshop and benefited from the detailed explanations and real-world examples shared by the speaker. The interactive session towards the end of the program enabled participants to clarify technical doubts and gain career guidance.The workshop on “Modern ASIC Design” proved to be highly informative and enriching for the participants. It successfully fulfilled its objective of exposing students to emerging semiconductor technologies and inspiring them to pursue advanced learning and research in VLSI systems. The Department of ECE expressed sincere gratitude to the resource person, organizing team, and participants for making the event a grand success.
