The National Science Day was celebrated in JCT College of Engineering and Technology on behalf of S&H department on February 28, 2025. Most of the students had shown much interest and participated in the Expert talk.

The programme started with a prayer song. All the Heads of Departments, Faculty members and the students from various departments attended the programme.

Welcome address was given by Dr K. Juliet GnanaSundari, Associate Professor from S&H Department. And then the Presidential address was given by Principal Dr.S.Manoharan. He mentioned the importance and reason for celebrating Science Day on remembering the great work contributed by the Indian Scientists. He also explained about the Introduction of Material Science for the smart world. Historical perspective of materials, classifications, properties and prospective. And then our Principal presented a shawl and Memento to the chief guest. The Chief guest Introduction was given by Mrs .A. Nagaveni, Assistant professor from S&H Department.

Dr. V. Anbarasu, Associate Professor and Head Department of Physics PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore was the chief guest. He delivered his speech by motivating the students, bringing the importance of science. He has also mentioned about the future of Material Science.

He concluded his speech by addressing the students to develop new concepts and ideas to innovate the society. Finally the programme was concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Ms. R.Janani Assistant Professor from Maths department followed by National Anthem.
