The Department of Food Technology at JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized a program on National Startup Day on 14th February 2025. The event aimed to promote entrepreneurial awareness and innovation among students, encouraging them to explore opportunities in the startup ecosystem.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. P. Balamurugan,HoD Department of Food Technology, who highlighted the significance of startups in driving economic growth and technological advancements in the food sector. The coordination for the event was efficiently managed by Ms. N. Jamunasri, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology.
The session featured discussions on the importance of entrepreneurship, startup incubation, funding opportunities, and market trends. An online quiz and interactive sessions were conducted to engage participants and test their knowledge on startups and entrepreneurial concepts. These activities provided an opportunity for students to gain practical insights and develop a deeper understanding of startup culture.
The event attracted students, faculty members, and other attendees who actively participated in discussions and Q&A sessions. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. J. Priyanga, Assistant Professor, Department of Food Technology, who expressed gratitude to the participants, organizing committee, and supporting staff for their contributions in making the event a success.
