On March 16th 2023, “JAKRUTHI”, a National Level Technical Symposium for Polytechnic students was conducted at JCT College of Engineering and Technology. The event started with an Inaugural function at 10.00 a.m in JCT Seminar Hall. All the Heads of the Departments and Event Coordinators and participants from various colleges were present at seminar hall. The main goal of this event was providing a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and knowledge. The symposium included various events and competitions.

The event started with Tamilthai Vazhthu followed by lighting of kuthuvilaku by the dignitaries. The welcome address was given by Dr.G.Rajiv Sureshkumar, Vice Principal & HOD/CSE. Dr.S.Manoharan, Principal gave the presidential address and Vote of thanks was given by Dr.K.Geetha, Dean Academics & HOD/EEE.

After the Inaugural function, participants participated in various events conducted at the department of ECE. The events conducted are Paper presentation, Project contest, Electricross, Technical quiz and Circuittrix.

After lunch, a non-technical event “Insta-Reels” was conducted. Around 50 students from various polytechnic colleges participated in the events. Finally, prizes were distributed to the winners during the valedictory function. The day ended with National Anthem.
