JCT college of Engineering and Technology has conducted Onam celebration in a splendid manner and the celebration started with a flag hoisting as Onam Aaramb on 05.09.22 at 4.30 p.m. On 6th September 2022 all the various events pertaining to this was celebrated. The programme was organized by the students of JCT and the event was celebrated by all the students, the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the college.

The celebration was inaugurated with massive entry of students from each department in the presence of Principal Dr. S. Manoharan and the Department heads. In the true spirit of Onam, the students of JCT participated in decorating the entrance with Onam pookolam. The students of Kerala dressed themselves in traditional attires while one student Enen Karunan from IV PCE dressed like the King Mahabali.

Students arranged delicious Ada pradhaman for the Staff and students. In this function the students performed traditional cultural events like Chenda Melam, Thiruvathirakali, Kaavadiyattam, Classical dances etc., as a part of the celebration, and various contests like Uriyadi, Tug of war were also held.

The celebration ended with a colossal performance of Violin and Chenda Melam.
