Personality Development and Menstrual Hygiene – 2025

The Women Empowerment Cell, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Cell, and National Service Scheme (NSS) of JCT College of Engineering and Technology jointly organized a seminar on “Personality Development and Menstrual Hygiene” for the benefit of girl students. Our principal Dr.S.Manoharan and our management gave permission to conduct the event on, September 24, 2025 at JCT seminar hall which aimed to equip the students with essential life skills and crucial health knowledge. The program commenced with a warm welcome from Preethi P, a final-year CSBS student. This was followed by the presidential address delivered by the esteemed Principal Incharge , Dr.S.Selvakumar , HoD from BTBC department who highlighted the significance of such initiatives in the holistic development of students.The chief guests for the occasion was Ms. Jayashree S and Ms. Rakshana Devi Nagaraj from Eduscope, Coimbatore. Her introduction was presented by Jafia.C, a second-year CSE student. Chief guest delivered a compelling and insightful talk, covering the two pivotal topics of the seminar. Her expertise on personality development provided the students with practical tips and motivational insights, while her address on menstrual hygiene focused on dispelling myths and promoting healthy practices.

The seminar was coordinated by Prof. D. Vedha Vinodha from ECE department. The event saw the active participation of all Women's Cell coordinators, underscoring the collaborative effort of the institution to foster a supportive and empowering environment for its female students.

The feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many students expressing that the session was highly beneficial. To further support the cause of menstrual hygiene, free sanitary napkins of whisper Goodie pack from P&G were distributed to all the participating girls.The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Gowsalya, a final-year CSBS student, who expressed gratitude to all the organizers, participants, and the chief guest for making the event a resounding success. The successful execution of this seminar stands as a testament to the college's commitment to the well-being and empowerment of its female student community.
