Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)-2026

Engineering and Technology organized an enlightening awareness program on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The session was held at the Seminar Hall and brought together girl students and women cell coordinators from various departments. The program commenced with a warm welcome that set the tone for an informative and engaging session on women’s health and wellbeing.

The resource person for the event was:

Dr. Kaytri S, Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Rao Hospital, Coimbatore.

Dr. Kaytri delivered an insightful presentation on understanding PCOS, its hormonal and lifestyle-related causes, early symptoms, and complications arising from delayed diagnosis. She emphasized the importance of healthy lifestyle practices such as regular physical activity, balanced diet, weight management, and stress reduction in managing PCOS effectively.

The session included active interactions with Rotaract members of Akruthi Mrs.Madhukannan and Mrs.Vijayalakshmi, where students raised queries related to menstrual health, diet patterns, acne, obesity, infertility and women’s safety. The resource persons clarified each question with practical guidance and medical advice.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, coordinators, and participants for contributing to the success of the event. The Women Empowerment & PoSH Cell, under the coordination of Mrs.Vedha Vnodha.D, Assistant Professor, ECE Department, ensured a well-organized and impactful event.
