PONGAL CELEBRATION” was celebrated at JCT college of Engineering and Technology, on 13.01.2023 at 9.30 am inside the college premises. Principal Dr. S.Manoharan, along with faculty members, administration staff members and students participated in the function.

The function started with Pongal flag hoisting and the lighting of Lamp. The celebration started with great involvement in making of Pongal and various traditional events like Silambattam, Paraiyattam, Kolattam, Gramiya Sandhai, Mayilattam, Kavadi Aattam,were performed and also Uriyadi, Kayiru Iluthal, Rangoli competition, Mehndi competition, were held for both students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. Around 500 students and staff members participated in this Pongal celebration. Sweet Pongal with snacks (sundal) was distributed to all the members and finally the program successfully ended with distribution of prizes to the winners.
