PONGAL CELEBRATIONS 2019 ORGANIZED BY JCT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY ON 11TH JANUARY 2019

Pride and festive cheer marked the Pongal celebration held on 11th January 2019 at JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Pichanur. Students, faculty and officials turned cooks at college as they lit fire and cooked pongal to usher in the harvest festival. Our students and staff celebrated Pongal in a traditional way by preparing ‘Pongal’ in mud pot with all religious traits and performed special Pooja.

All were dressed in dhoti and sari that completed the festive mood by creating the traditional atmosphere. The students danced to the tune of traditional beats and the campus was decorated with rangoli.The staff and student organized pot-breaking competition.
