The Department of Civil Engineering successfully conducted a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Recent Advances in Recycling Techniques for Concrete Pavements" on 20-01-2025 from 3.00 PM to 4.00 PM. The program began with a welcome speech by Ms. Reshma P.D, Assitant Professor in Department Of Civil Engineering, followed by the introduction of the chief guest by Mr. Arul Ganapathi, Assistant Professor in Department Of Civil Engineering.The session was led by Dr.Selvam, Assistant professor, from IIT Patna, a renowned expert in sustainable construction and pavement engineering.

The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty members regarding modern recycling methods for concrete pavements, focusing on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact. Dr. Selvam provided valuable insights into modern recycling techniques, including full-depth reclamation, cold in-place recycling, and the use of recycled aggregates for sustainable pavement construction. The event concluded with an interactive discussion and a vote of thanks by Dr.V.Murugesh, HoD in Department Of Civil Engineering, expressing gratitude to the speaker and participants. The FDP was highly informative, enhancing faculty knowledge on innovative and eco-friendly concrete pavement solutions.
