STUDENT ASSOCIATION INAUGURAL – PEARL’18 ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM ENGINEERING,JCTCET ON 26TH JULY 2018

The Department of Petroleum Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology has conducted the inauguration function of Petroleum Engineering Association for Research & Learning in association with Society of Petroleum Engineering student chapter and Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC). On 26/07/2018 around 10:00 am with our Principal, Dean and Faculty Members of Department of Petroleum Engineering.

We have introduced our new Association Members and Office Bearers and Society of Petroleum Engineering Student Chapter Members in the presence of our Chief Guest Mr. S. Navin Raj, Technical Chief Manager – Process Engineer in Bharat petroleum corporation Limited – Cochin Refinery . We started the function with Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by the welcome address by the Head of the Department of petroleum engineering Dr. S. Venkatesh Babu.

The dignitaries on the dias were invited to light up the kuthu vilaku . Following by this our principal Dr. G. Ramesh gave the Presidential Address empowering the minds of students with motivation &honoring the chief guest. The Chief Guest Mr. S. Navin Raj was felicitated with a shawl & honored by our principal Dr. G. Ramesh. Following the felicitation our Associate Prof. Mr. G. Mahendran introduced our Association Members and the Office Bearers and the Chief Guest honored the badges to Association Members & Office Bearers . Our association secretary Dhanraj . S of Final Year gave the introduction of the chief guest and addressed the gathering. The Chief Guest address on NEW TRENDS ON REFINERIES. During his speech he shared more valuable information and the working Process of the Crude Oil Refining. He shared more information on crude distillation and the refinery works. Following the chief guest address association vice president Kiran A.R of third year PE gave a brief description about the forth coming events .Then our association president Sajin Jose of final year PE gave the vote of thanks in which he thanked our chief guest, Our principal Staff & Students who attended the function. The function ended with National anthem.
