The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the Eco Club and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an Intra-Department Competition titled “Waste to Wealth 2025 - Turning Waste into Sustainable Construction Solutions” on 26th August 2025 at 1:30 PM. The event was aimed at fostering innovative ideas to transform waste materials into eco-friendly and sustainable solutions for the construction industry.

The competition was coordinated by Prof. M. Sadhasivam, with Dr. V. Murugesh, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, serving as the convener of the event. A total of 45 students from the Civil Engineering Department actively participated in the competition. The participants presented creative models and concepts highlighting the reuse and recycling of waste into valuable construction resources. The event witnessed innovative approaches that align with sustainable engineering practices.The competition was successful in promoting environmental awareness, innovation, and sustainable construction practices among students.
