The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore organized a webinar entitled “Image Classification with Convolutional Neural Networks” on 25th September, 2024 at 11.30 am. The session started with introduction to Chief Guest which was delivered by Dr. S. Zulaikha Beevi, Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department. The Chief Guest was Mr. M. Mugesh, Founder, Director and chairman of Clovin Inc and Mr. A. Sunderavel, Senior Software Developer, Clovin Inc.

The Chief Guest started the webinar with the overview of the Image Classification and explained in detail about CNN Image Classification with Keras and CIFAR-10. Also he emphasized the importance of using Deep Learning CNN in image classification include high quality image augmentation, fast image segmentation, and easy implementation compared to other object detection techniques. II Year , III Year and IV Year Computer Science and Engineering students attended the webinar. The chief guest insisted the students to develop their multiple skill sets to meet the industry requirements and also the importance of Neural Networks in this generation. Totally, more than 200 students and 12 faculty members attended the programme.
