The Women Empowerment Cell conducted a Guest Lecture program on the topic of “WOMEN IN ENGINEERING & SELF DEVELOPMENT " in JCT college of Engineering & Technology on 25.09.2019 by 11.00 am at our seminar hall for theacademic year 2019-2020. The function started with a prayer song of Thamil Thai Vazhthu.

Ms. Agna Thomas (III year Food Technology) welcomed the chief guest and lighting of kuthuvillaku was done by the chief guest. Our respected principal Dr.G.Ramesh presided over the function. In his presidential address, he shared the importance of today’s session and asked all the women to be brave and bold. He also shared the importance of women’s health. After the introduction of Chief Guest by Ms.Shirley (III year Food Technology), chief guest was honoured with a bouquet and memento.

The chief guest was Mrs.P.Sumithra Assistant Manager –Design, Production Development Centre (PDC) Larsen &Toubro Ltd. Coimbatore. She gave valuable information on women’s health, happiness, self development and women in engineering. She also said when women are educated it can change their behavior and the knowledge can be transferred to the entire family and they can have a better life. A live and effective interaction was done between the students and the guest.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.Shilpa (III CSE). The function ended with the National Anthem.
