The Women Empowerment Cell celebrated Women’s Day 2020 in JCT College of Engineering & Technology on 09.03.2020 by 11.00 am at our seminar hall. The function started with a prayer song of Thamizh Thai Vazhthu.

Ms.Sweeka (First year Food Technology) welcomed the chief guest and lighting of Kuthuvilaku was done by the chief guest. Our respected principal Dr.G.Ramesh presided over the function. In his presidential address, he shared the equality of a women in society and asked all the women to be brave and bold. He also shared the importance of women’s health.

Our respected Vice Principal Dr.V.J. Arulkarthick gave the special address. In his special address, he shared the role of women in life.

The Chief Guest of the function were Dr. B. Kalyani, PG Assistant, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Tiruvarur District. Dr. B. Kalyani gave the valuable information on “Realism of Empowerment in Women”. She also said women have their strong will to achieve whatever they aspire for. She also stated that a women is the personification of kindness, dedication, devotion, compassionate to prove her sensible realism to the society. Her poem is highly inspirational. At the end of speech students shared their positive opinions about the session.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.Bharathi (I FT). The function ended with the National Anthem.
