Workshop on self defence – An awareness program for women folks- Right to Safety organized by Women Empowerment Cell, JCTCET on 09th January – 2020

The Women Empowerment Cell celebrated Workshop on self defence – An awareness program for women folks – Right to Safety organized by Women Empowerment Cell in JCT College of Engineering & Technology on 09.01.2020 by 11.00 am at our seminar hall. The function started with a prayer song of Thamil Thai Vazhthu.

Ms.Agna Thomas (Third year Food Technology) welcomed the chief guest and lighting of kuthuvilaku was done by the chief guest. Our respected principal Dr.G.Ramesh presided over the function. In his presidential address, he shared the importance of today’s session and asked all the women to be brave and bold in unexpected situations. Our respected vice principal Dr.Arul Karthik deliverd the special address to the function. He shared the importance of today’s session and asked all the women to be courageous and also congratulated the Women Empowerment Cell for organizing this session.

MS.Shirley introduced the chief guest. The chief guests of this function were Hanshi Dr.S.Rethinam(Ph.D), President All India karate – Do- Kobudo promotion foundation, & Director-World karate Confideration(WKC), Kyoshi Mr.Benjamin & Sensei Mr.Alex David. Dr S.Rethinam gave the valuable information on women’s safety and also said various mudhras for curing different diseases. He also said when women are aware about karate to manage critical situtions.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.Shilpa (III CSE). The function ended with the National Anthem.
