17.05.2018-ON-CAMPUS DRIVE-SOUTHERN PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES CORPORATION (SPIC) LIMITED, TUTICORIN

The Department of Training and Placement organized an “On-Campus Drive” at JCT campus on 17.05.2018. Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) Limited, Tuticorin hosted the campus drive for the Engineering students of Petrochemical department. Totally 21 students were scrutinized based on their eligibility and were invited for this Pool drive.

SPIC – Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) Limited is one of the leading fertilizer manufacturing companies in the country located at Thoothukudi in the State of Tamil Nadu. It is a joint venture founded by Dr M.A.Chidambaram and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a state-owned industrial development institution. SPIC is one of the earliest units set up in the country with a vision to produce high quality fertilizers to improve the agricultural output of the country. SPIC’s large fertilizer complex is capable of producing 6.2 lakh tons of Neem Coated Urea. SPIC is a household name within the farming community due to its ability to enrich the soil consistently throughout the agricultural cycle with maximum nutrient use efficiency. SPIC products not only help to sustain the health of the soil but also act as environment-friendly catalysts to increase the productivity to meet the food demand of the nation.

Dr. G. Ramesh (Principal) welcomed the HR team and the gathering. Prof.V.Jethose (Head – Training and Placement) delivered the key note address and explained the selection process. Mr. D. Nethaji Kumar (Placement Officer) & Mr. Subin Subramanian (Training and Placement) felicitated the HR.

The HR Members from SPIC for recruiting clearly explained about the company profile, interview rounds, location, training details and other details of the job.

21 students participated in this on campus drive. After two levels of selection process 2 students got selected. The Management and Principal thanked the recruitment team and congratulated the selected students.
