03.03.2017-POOL-CAMPUS DRIVE – SOUTHERN PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIES CORPORATION (SPIC),THOOTHUKUDI.

The Department of Training and Placement organized an “Pool-Campus Drive” on 03.03.2017 for eligible final year Engineering students of PETRO CHEMICAL ENGINEERING branch of our College. And DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL, PETRO AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) hosted the campus drive.

Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) Limited is one of the leading fertilizer manufacturing companies in the country located at Thoothukudi in the State of Tamil Nadu. It is a joint venture founded by Dr M A Chidambaram and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a state-owned industrial development institution.

SPIC is one of the earliest units set up in the country with a vision to produce high quality fertilizers to improve the agricultural output of the country. SPIC is a household name within the farming community due to its ability to enrich the soil consistently throughout the agricultural cycle with maximum nutrient use efficiency. SPIC products not only help to sustain the health of the soil but also act as environment-friendly catalysts to increase the productivity to meet the food demand of the nation.

Dr. G. Ramesh (Principal) welcomed the HR team and the gathering. Prof.V.Jethose (Head – Training and Placements) delivered the key note address and Mr.G.Jayaprakash (Corporate Relationship Manager) explained the selection process.

The Recruiting member from Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) Limited (HR Manager) along with the coordinators have conducted the on Campus Drive at JCT College of Engineering and Technology. HR presented the company profile and narrated about the job description.

70 students were scrutinized for attending this drive. After two levels of selection process 10 students got selected for the final process. HR clearly explained about the Job nature, Working location and other Incentives to the selected candidates. The Principal and Management congratulated the selected candidates and thanked the recruitment team.
