7th National Level Conference on “Recent Advances in Computing Sciences” (RACS’23)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences and Department of Computer Science and Business Systems of JCT College of Engineering and Technology jointly organized the 7th National Level Conference on “Recent Advances in Computing Sciences” (RACS’23) on 21st April 2023. There were nearly 150+ research articles received from all over India. Among them, 48 research articles has been shortlisted and presented in the conference.

Initially the conference started with the formal Inaugural function at 10.30 am in JCT Seminar hall by Prayer Song and lightening the kuthuvilakku. The Heads of various Departments, Faculties and students from department of Computer Science and Engineering, department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences and department of Computer Science and Business Systems, and students from various colleges were attended the conference.

Prof. K. Maklarvizhi, Head of the Computer Science and Business Systems department delivered the welcome address. Dr. G. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, Vice Principal and Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department presented the conference report. Principal Dr. S. Manoharan and chief guest Mr. D. Santhosh Kumar released the conference proceedings. Principal delivered the Presidential address, in which Principal addressed the recent trends in computing science with the specific focus on Edge computing and Cloud computing. Ms. Chavva Anitha, student of second year Computer Science and Engineering Department gave the Chief Guest introduction. The Chief Guest of this National Conference Mr. D. Santhosh Kumar, Principal Program Manager, Ephron Tech, USA, delivered the keynote address. In his speech, he introduced the concept of Computational Space to the students, further he elaborated on the recent trending areas like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud computing etc. Chief Guest advised the students to select any one domain as their area of interest and put a consistent effort to excel in that domain. This practice will surely help them to get placed in top MNCs.

The inaugural function ended with vote of thanks by Dr. V. Jethose Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences Department.
