A Webinar on "An Awareness on PoSH-Law that protects Women’s Rights" was held on 20.04.2023 at 02.00 P.M. onwards by the Women Empowerment & Prevention of sexual Harassment (POSH) at JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

Mrs.ThahseenThahir Assistant Professor of ECE Department welcomed the Chief Guest and the participants. Presidential address was given by Principal, Dr.S.Manoharan. The Introduction of Chief Guest was given by Ms.M.Rupa Assistant professor of CSE Department. The Chief Guest of the function was Ms.K.S.Aiswarya, Advocate, Coimbatore District Court. She gave the valuable information about education to women and its effect on economical and political organization of a society change, and also women take the lead in helping the family. She also insisted in her speech to be aware and conscious of engaging in potential sexual-harassment behaviours at all places and how women are sexually exploited in the society and how to safeguard themselves.At the end of the speech 92 student participants and faculty members participated and also had an interaction with the chief guest about the session. Prof.D.VedhaVinodha convenor of Women Empowerment & Prevention of sexual Harassment (PoSH) organized this programme.

Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs.N.Mohana Assistant professor (Maths) S&H Department and program came to an end with the National Anthem.
