Women Empowerment and Prevention of sexual harassment (PoSH) cell has organized an “Awareness program on Karate” for First year Girl students on 16-10-24 by 03.00 p.m. at JCT college of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore. Welcome address was given by Dr.S.Manoharan,Principal, JCTCET. The Key speaker of the event was Mr.J Renshi Alex David, 5th dan and in his speech he mentioned Karate is not about techniques and their execution, but about boldness, integrity and fight for justice.

Students of our institution demonstrated various self-defense techniques, and it created huge awareness among the students. This awareness programme was very useful to the students. Nearly 105 girl students participated and got benefited through this program. Finally Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. N. Mohana (AP-S&H) and the programme ended successfully.
