The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized the Inaugural function of ‘JCELERAT 2k 13 on 1 Aug, 2013. Prof Dr.K.Kasthurirangaiyan Vice President of Wind Energy inaugurated the Association and delivered a remarkable speech on the “Recent Trends in Renewable Energy resources”, which enthralled and passionated the budding Engineers of JCT college of Engineering and Technology.

Speaking on the Occasion, he deeply engrossed the audience on the significance of Wind energy of our country. He advised the Students that the Energy from Sun, Wind and Water should to be used in a more effective way, in future. Besides, he elucidated the advantages of Green energy. He explained the pros and cons of Bio mass waste and Waste material in cities and also suggested ways and means to generate energy from them.

It is highly important to mention that Principal Dr. R. Saravanan differentiated between Short term goal and Long term goal, while delivering the presidential address. He advocated to the Engineering students that they have to accomplish Objectives in their life. He encouraged the students to recognize their capability and strengths to enable them to succeed. He stressed that the students should identify their interested areas while they do their graduation. He suggested that Students should execute their inherent talent to attain Global competency. At the end of session student’s hearts brimmed with self-confidence in speculating their indomitable future.
