“DHRUVAZ 2K18 NATIONAL LEVEL MECH FEST” ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, JCTCET ON 2ND MARCH 2018

Dhruvaz 2K18,” Constant, Faithful” A National Level Mech Fest was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCTCET on 2nd March 2018. Inaugural function was conducted at JCT Seminar hall by 10.30am. The main Moto of Dhruvaz 2K18 is “BRING OUT YOUR INNER POTENTIAL”. We invited the students from all around the nation, to put their Ingenuity and Aptitude to test on unparalleled level of competitions. The inauguration was started traditionally by lighting the Kuthu-Vilakku. The Principal, HOD, and coordinating students done the ritual. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.P.Pitchandi, HOD-Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mr.G.Raj Bharath Krishnan, Coordinator Dhruvaz 2K18, gave a brief narration about the Mech Fest. Dr G Ramesh, the Principal, delivered the inaugural address. Mr Vishnu T R., student President, Final year Mechanical Engineering, delivered vote of thanks.

Events on a whole was designed as a competitive treat for graduate students from various Engineering streams. We had wide variety of events that tested their knowledge, attitude and technical skills like Paper Presentation, Mr.Dhruvaz, and Technical Quiz. In addition our benchmark event was “Kalari Payattu” a martial art of Kerala and Cultural Programme. The winners of the events were given cash prize and Certificate. We organized KABADDI Tournament under the aegis of Dhruvaz 2K18 in which 20 teams from various colleges participated. The tournament was won by Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology Coimbatore. Runner-up team was Easa College of Engineering & Technology Coimbatore. The Dhruvaz 2K18 function concluded with National Anthem.
